Robert Barron Workshop on March 6th& 7th, 2010


Date: March 6th & 7th, 2010 Location: Tamagawa Nanaimo Campus

Australian wood-fire potter Robert Barron will demonstrate small to large-scale thrown pots and discuss the aesthetics of wood firing. Robert Barron is an internationally known wood-firer who runs Gooseneck Pottery in Victoria, Australia.

In the 2 day workshop in Naniamo, Robert will do a mix of things; Throwing demonstration including big pots (coil and throwing) handles, hand building, glazing, show images, talk about firing and packing etc.

The cost for the 2 day workshop will be $120.00 and that will include a lunch catered by Tamagawa on both days.

For those coming from out of town and needing accommodation for Saturday night Tamagawa has student lodging available on site for $45.00 per night including dinner on Saturday and the one time linen charge. (2nd night accommodation is available for $20.00, no meal and no extra linen charge) and Dinner alone on Saturday Night would be $15.00.
